A skilled aerial firefighting pilot dies during a rescue mission and is given a chance to return to Earth as a spirit tasked with mentoring a new pilot taking his place. As he watches over his former girlfriend and helps guide the young flyer, he must confront letting go of love while learning what it truly means to move on.
